This will be a first annual event hosted by the Grant Playground and Recreation Association that will take place at Grant City Park. This event is held in memory of the late Dan Robinson whose love for God and country was known by many throughout our community. Dan was instrumental in the formation of our non-profit organization and laid the groundwork for the development of Kidtopia playground. The proceeds from this event will benefit Kidtopia and help support it’s continued needs.
The 5K Race: This 5K walk/run will begin at Grant City Park, travel through the scenic, mountain town of Grant and pass by New Life Methodist Church. The course is mostly flat with a few slight inclines. Volunteers will be along the route to help guide runners in the right direction. Water stations will be set up every mile and a first aid station at the halfway point. The race will end back at Grant City Park. Rehydration & snacks will be available before and after the races. Medical support will also be available on site during the event.
The Kid’s Color Run: This event will take place at Grant City Park. Kid’s ages 5-12 will have a blast as they run through a mini-course and get showered in technicolor powders of yellow, pink, green, orange, blue and purple.
Sleep-in Option: If you want to support our cause but simply aren’t interested in getting up to race, consider the Sleep-In Option. All sleep in registrants will receive a race t-shirt and enjoy the cozy comforts of your own bed race morning. T-shirts can be collected at our registration table until 1pm the day of the race.
