There’s a lot to learn from exploring the outdoors! Bring the kids out for an educational nature hike led by Madison County Schools STEM Coach Tim Gels. We’ll discuss the plants and animals that call Rainbow Mountain Nature Preserve home. Bring a sack lunch and end the hike with lunch in the pavilion! (2 hours / Easy to Moderate / 1.5 miles)

These FREE hikes offer natural beauty and exercise for the entire family but donations to help preserve green space are accepted! RESERVATION IS REQUIRED for guided hikes at landtrustnal.org/hikes. Space is limited. Please register by 5 PM on Friday before weekend hikes. The Land Trust office is closed on Saturdays & Sundays. You don’t need fancy equipment! However, we do recommend:
• long pants and comfortable shoes with good tread
• bottled water
• hiking sticks
• trail snacks
• and a camera to capture the experience
